Stranger by the Lake

L'INCONNU DU LAC takes place in and around a summer lake in the French countryside - an oasis of paradise where curious men of all shapes and sizes sunbathe naked and secretly meet in the nearby 'bushes' for anonymous sex. Here we meet the handsome Franck, who has his eye on Michel, a gorgeous man with the looks of a 70s porn star, but who is already in a relationship with another man. One evening Franck sees how Michel deliberately drowns his lover. Instead of reporting the murder, the event only stirs up his erotic fixation. All this culminates in an expertly constructed and well filmed thriller drama about love, lust and the dangers of a carefree lifestyle.
