Paul is in his late 40s and makes a living as a private detective. He watches Dorothy grow up from a distance. Paul knows that she is his daughter; he had a brief affair with her mother. The 15-year-old is going through an identity crisis. Dorothy believes that her mother's husband is not her father, but her mother ignores her daughter's questions. By chance, she meets Paul. She is fascinated by his profession and hires the detective to look for her biological father. Paul is happy to get closer to his daughter in this way. But how should he solve her assignment?
