Long Way North

Sasha, a young aristocratic girl growing up in late 19th century Russia. She dreams of the great North and fears for the fate of her grandfather Oloukine: The famous scientist and Arctic explorer has not yet returned from his last expedition to conquer the North Pole in 1882! Oloukine has passed on his vocation as an explorer to Sasha, but her parents, who have already made arrangements for Sasha's marriage, do not approve in the least. But Sasha rebels against her fate, flees and decides to join Oloukine... far to the north. Rarely has the seafaring genre been so much fun and so coherently composed!
