Chartres, Light Reborn!

Knowledge/History, France 2016

June 2014 marks the start of the next major phase in the restoration of the Chartres Cathedral, which will take two and a half years. The most spectacular and iconic parts of the cathedral will be renovated: the nave, with its 35-meter-high walls, and the stained-glass windows that frame it, renowned as the most important collection of 13th-century stained glass in Europe. The documentary meets the restorers, archaeologists, scientists, and architects who are combining their passion behind the scenes of this exceptional project.
